Welcome to Serodus

Serodus is a biomedical company located in Oslo Research Park , Norway. Serodus was established by BMI in 2008 in order to develop new medicines for treating diseases involving serotonin signalling outside of the central nervous system.

Serodus has identified a group of highly active and selective 5-HT4 receptor antagonists, one of which we intend to develop for the treatment of congestive heart failure and other diseases outside of the central nervous system. The effect of 5-HT4 receptor antagonists in heart failure patients was confirmed in a 6 months clinical study with piboserod .


Serodus and Zealand Pharma enters into patent license agreement

Serodus has acquired the rights to Zealand Pharma's ORL-1 agonist ZP120. Serodus intends to develop the compound for the treatment of patients with isolated systolic hypertension. ZP120 has previously been studied in patients with chronic and acute heart failure. Under Serodus' development ZP120 will be given the code SER100.

The General Assembly has elected Henrik Lund as new member of the board, replacing Eva Steiness, who is now CEO of Serodus. Dr. Lund is former Global Vice President MCCD of AstraZeneca.


Serodus closes new round of financing

Serodus has closed a new financial round of NOK 5,1 million. The company intends to use the proceeds for moving its products towards the first clinical trials.
